“In the Kitchen” Traveling Cooking School
Join us for a special “meet and greet” designed to introduce you to “In the Kitchen.” In the Kitchen is a traveling cooking school that provides an environment in which students, adults, and children can experience, create and learn culinary techniques, share recipes and ideas and express their own talents.
The emphasis of In the Kitchen is on cooking to fit your lifestyle. Cooking can be something you love or something you hate, but we all have to eat. What we choose to eat and cook depends on our tastes, our choices, and our time. It is possible to choose wisely with fresh, delicious ingredients, and create a satisfying meal in a short period of time. Once you know a few cooking methods, and a few shortcuts in the kitchen, great things can happen at the table. Whether you’re cooking for one, two or a small army, real food is worth the effort.
In the Kitchen offers different types of classes and instruction to fit different needs of the client. There are classes for learning and fun that offer recipes, instruction, and helpful tips to creating a meal from appetizer to dessert. In the Kitchen also offers a class to help you create five different meals for the week. In three short hours, in this hands-on class, you will prepare five meals for the week ready to freeze or use right away. And finally, In the Kitchen provides frozen meals for your family. Each month offers five main dishes, along with two side dishes and a dessert. These meals will be prepared and frozen for you to take home and use that day or keep frozen for a future date.
Brief bio…Kelly Sears is currently a cooking instructor at cooking schools within the Chicago Metropolitan area. She currently resides in DeKalb, Illinois with her husband, Dan, yellow lab Pete and beagle Emma. |
